Who cares if he has an ego?

He's one of the best to ever play the position. Its natural for him to have an ego.

Having an ego is normal. I would venture to say most people have egos. Athlete or not...
I would agree that a lot of athletes have egos, but someone with a big ego can be a divisive force.

I think that saying LT had a huge ego may or may not be right, but I do think he's selfish for the reasons I suggested.

Generally in the sporting world if you're selfish, you also have a large ego.

Well, he's no longer an everydown back, so he has to check that ego at the door, and be willing to take on a lesser role.

I have a feeling that the contract offers he receives will take care of that ego thing.

Now if some jackass offers him 20 mil or something, then I could see it being a problem, but only the Redskins would do that.

They really don't have much of a front office. Just some guy in a jumpsuit forever stuck in the 70s.

I've seen a lot of things over the years that suggest he has a big ego and/or is selfish.

When it comes down to benefitting him over the team, he has always chosen himself.

I just don't think he's the overall team player some make him out to be.

He's also not as abrasive as some of the divas of the league either, but somewhere in between.

To me LT is more Favre than people realize. Part of it is seeing what he's done under certain situations, and part of it is a hunch.

Some of the examples are him not playing the playoff game years ago, and pouting on the sideline instead of rooting on his teammates, him often putting individual records at a higher priority than winning, and despite his smaller role and declining skills, his refusal to take a pay cut.

I don't think LT is an awful person. I just think he's more self centered, and egostistical than some give him credit for.
LT is much more Barry Sanders than Brett Favre.

LT is much more Barry Sanders than Brett Favre.
At the end of the day, Barry made one of the most selfish moves in the history of football, leaving his teammates out to dry by the timing of his "retirement." Barry often played by different rules, too, skipping mandatory training camps.

On the field, they have some similarities.

I'm not saying LT is Favre. I just think a lot of people believe he's this completely wholesome guy. I do not.

If he could accept a lesser role, I'd love to see a dual threat backfield of Shady and LT
