Default New Illegal
I'm sure some of you saw from yahoo that the NFL may try to ban the 3 point stance.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-s...p&type=lgns

Well I thought I should bring this up now. I have thought about this for some time, about one day the NFL will make it illegal to hit, or sack the QB. It's already at it's first stage of heading toward that direction, with the rules they have now for a QB. Question is, when could that rule take effect?

And soon to follow after that. The NFL will be re-named the FNFL, which stands for "Flag National Football League".

The league is getting more and more sissified.

Pretty soon, it will be a game of touch............or all of the players will be wearing flags and tackling will become illegal.

Just eliminate lineman completely.

They are just too big and they might hurt somebody.

Well, have a center. But a small guy. Maybe 5'8" 145.

Just 7 on 7 all day.

Final scores would be 112-105.

And think of all the records that will get broken. Then the NFL can declare it the best era in the annals of sports.

Or they could get rid of them altogether so they are not used as a weapon. No one is diving at knees when you get cauliflower ear and lumps on your mellon.

actually that is false. helmets have gotten better and concussions have increased.

part of the solution is a better mouth guard and one team in the league has somehow gotten their own design from a team doctor or something, but the league has yet to mandate this design for every team. I saw it on between the lines or something.

eliminating the 3 point stance will do nothing for the 'concussion problem', that is fucking retarded. how many o and d linemen are getting concussions?

roger goodell is a moron.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. That doesn't make any sense at all.

This is clearly a result of the Lingerie Football League's success.

Women are spoiling our fun, again.

A better helmet doesn't reduce the impact of the brain hitting the inside of the skull during a high speed/high impact collision.

The newest helmets have airbag deployment, including side curtain airbags.

Actually, that is exactly what they do. The helmet absorbs more of the impact so the brain doesn't smash into the skull as hard.

yes, it doesnt eliminate it, but it IS designed to reduce it. how effective it is remains to be seen.

what you will see in the future is the better mouth guard for everyone.

What I'm wondering is how eliminating the 3-point stance solves any of these problems.
