The Saints defense is way better than most give credit to. They force turnovers. I think it's safe to say it more than their offense. no team is going into the super dome in january and saying our #1 concern is that their defense doesn't beat us. |

i didn't say anything negative about their defense, but it's not their defense that's going to lead them to a championship. their defense is average, their offense is the best in the league. I have looked at them a lot since they got Brees because there was an argument about who you would rather have. Brees, or Big Ben. The year they made the playoffs their D was top 10. Pitt missed the playoffs that year. Wonder why? Their D was like 15 that year. Every other year it was top 5. |

their defense is middle of the road this year as well. Look at Indy when they won it. They were the worst rush D in the league going into the playoffs. They couldn't have won if their D didn't step up no matter how good their offense was. The Saints D this year is good enough to give them a shot. If it were like it has been in the past they would have absolutely no chance to win. |

That's all they need. you're arguing that the 15th ranked defense is more important than the top ranked offense. are you telling me the saints are going to win the nfc or super bowl in a 10-6 game rather than a 34-24 game? |
