They're already 0-3, they were screwed before he went down.

Time for Chad Henne to get his shine on.

Time to see a whole lot more of that Wildcat offense. Pat White anyone?

What?

Did Marino hang up the cleats or what?

I thought Marino was still held captive by Finkle.

I wouldn't bet on that.

It's Henne for better or worse at least for now. He at least gives them an opportunity to go deep to Ginn every now and then, something Pennington couldn't do.

The only other possibility is that they pick up a vet and even then they might just stick with Henne. White is nowhere near ready to play. They haven't even been using him in the Wildcat much and they've only let him throw 1 pass so far.

Traded for Tyler Thigpen. Can't say I hate the move. He's young and might get a chance if Henne fails.

I figured they'd hold off until next week when Garcia gets his walking papers from Philly.

I thought they might do that too. But I think I'm glad they did this instead. Probably doesn't help for this year if Henne bombs, but it gives them something to start with for next year if that happens. Besides, I thought Thigpen played reasonably well at times on a really bad team in KC last year.

As long as the pick they gave up was a 5th or later it's a good move. He at least gives them an emergency QB if they end up with another injury or Henne is just awful.

That felt good. Real good.

I love what Pennington did for the Dolphins in his short time with the team, but that ability to go deep...damn it's nice.

Being a UofM fan Henne to me always was good just not great. Glad to see him do well and Sanchez lose, but he'll never be a HOFer IMO
you should probably call the dolphins and let them in on your infinite wisdom before they mortgage their future with Henne.

lol, did you just already evaluate Henne's entire career off of practically his first start in the NFL?

Out of the 32 starting QBs in the NFL, I can guess that at least 25 that probably won't make the Hall, but some of which are more than capable starters...

He's been getting lots of praise after last night, but it seems Calvin Pace is not a Chad Henne fan:

"Against a second-year clown quarterback, we didn't affect him enough,'' Pace was quoted as saying. "I guess you have to give him credit. The defense lost the game today.'' Way to give him credit there Calvin!

Hey Calvin, what about the Wildcat? What's your take on that?

We can also count Pace among those who aren't big on the Wildcat. "I can't respect that stuff, all that Wildcat,'' said Pace, according to the Times. "We're in the NFL. Don't come here with that nonsense.'' I love it! Nothing better than beating the Jets!

You can't respect it because you can't defend it.

Fair enough.
