I have no problem with Brady pleading for the call, that's just a heads-up play. You know refs are sensitive to QB contact this year, so if you can ham it up and get 15 yards for your team, you need to do it. |

Whatever. Him pleading for it makes him look like a giant pussy. I hope somebody destroys him next game. I've had enough of his faggotty crying. IMO, the Ravens look like cry-babies for whining about it. That's been their MO in the past though, so it's not a big surprise. |

He may look like a pussy, but it turned a 3rd and 10 into a 1st and 10 and ended up with a touchdown. |

They end up with a guy in intensive care because of a late hit on the QB, I guess they should just suck it up and lick Brady's balls like you and the rest of the league. So just because I'm not hating on Brady for taking advantage of the rules, I'm licking Brady's balls? I don't care if it's Brady, McNabb, or a scrub like JaMarcus Russell. If a guy hits their legs, they should be motioning for a flag, not because it's a legit penalty, but because the refs will call it. Every player should be doing whatever they can, within the rules, to win. Getting an easy 15 yards is a no-brainer. |

Yeah. The favoritism is ridiculous. Mcnabb gets pounced on well into the endzone and gets his rib broken. A guy grazes Brady and gets called for it. How does that make sense? I loved how in the video you could see Brady go to the ref behind him pleading for it to be roughing and the ref nods as though he's saying, "Yes Mr. Brady." ![]() There's been no 'favoritism' that hasn't included McNabb in the past. ![]() ALL QB's have been shown to be 'favorites' of the NFL. It's how and who they market to the public. |

Classy. What they've done is given the referees yet another way to adversely affect the outcome of the game. |

The problem is that you need to almost be out-of-control to play defense at the level necessary to win in the NFL. You're expecting a guy who probably struggled to break 800 on his SAT's to be going at 1000%, dive at the QB, and have enough control to keep his hands away from his head and knees? |

I agree with you. I think the NFL protects the QB too much. However, I'm not going to blame a QB for taking advantage of the rule. Do I think they need to protect QB's? Yes. But there was already plenty of protection. You get one step before hitting a QB w/o the ball (unless you're New England, who can take three steps and crunch as hard as they want). You can't throw them to the ground. You can't drive them into the ground. You can't make helmet-to-helmet contact. That's good enough. This knee injury and head injury stuff happens to every player, even after rules to penalize face mask infractions, horse collars, and chop blocks. It still happens. Ed Reed was right to joke about two hand touch, because that's what it's coming to. You will never legislate injury out of the game, and reacting ONLY because a marquee player goes down (where was the rule when Carson Palmer, Donovan McNabb, Joe Montana, Michael Vick, and many others went down with leg and head injuries?) is senseless and indicative of a poorly-managed league. |
