Default NFL Predictions, Open Ended
Instead of a direct competition, I'm putting this on the floor.

The rules:

Make a prediction about the wacky world of the NFL. Be as specific as you can. Post it here, and if it comes true, notify me. I'll pay out - the more bizarro, and more accurate, and the further ahead you've predicted... the more you will earn.

Examples (that have come true):
NFL player gets arrested for dogfighting.
Detroit Lions go 0-16.
New England Patriots go 16-0.

Remember, this is for the 2009-2010 season. Anything up to the Pro Bowl and including the Super Bowl can be included.

This will be an equivalent to a paramutuel betting situation. Instead of the number of funds that have been bet, it's going to be based on how much I have total (minus a small reserve).

However, I reserve the right to cap any payouts; for example, if I get 3000 bets from Puke that are all the same (and easy wins), he's getting chump change for being a chump.

Individual predictions need individual posts. Multiple predictions in one post will be considered a parlay.

So any predicitons about or having to do with the Super Bowl will not be honored?

Shit, Pro Bowl got moved up... I forgot.

Changing original post to 'up to and including the Super Bowl'.

Doesn't seem like much of a stretch. Only about 150 more than last year.

Thus, a fairly small payout.

- LaDanian Tomlinson will accumulate 2,100+ yards (catch + rush combined), and will prove he's not washed up, as some have begun to suggest.

- To roll with the above, the San Diego Chargers will represent the AFC in the Superbowl this year.

- Brett Favre will start fewer than 8 games this season.

- Mike Vick will play his first regular season football game in week 5, after the Eagles' Bye week.

- The Detroit Lions will - repeat, WILL - reach the NFL Playoffs.

- New England will fail to reach the playoffs.

- There will be two 1-15 teams in the NFL this season, and they will be in the same division. Their lone wins will occur when they split their own series: The Kansas City Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders.

- 4 Head Coaches will be fired by week 9.

- Your Division Winners will be:

Philadelphia
Green Bay
New Orleans
Arizona

Buffalo
Pittsburgh
Indy
San Diego

- New Orleans will lead the NFL in total points scored

Are these individual predictions, or a super-parlay? Because the latter would be AWESOME.

Awesome.

Let me further note (and add to the original post):

This will be an equivalent to a paramutuel betting situation. Instead of the number of funds that have been bet, it's going to be based on how much I have total (minus a small reserve).

So right now, on a scale of 1 - 20k, if all predictions came through -

YOM would get about 19,947.
The rest of you would get the rest.

I reserve the right to cap any payouts, for example if I get 3000 bets from Puke that are all the same (and easy wins), he's getting chump change for being a chump.

I will add $5,000 to your fund for these.

I was with you for a while there, but you started losing me about the point where you said the Lions will be in the playoffs and COMPLETELY lost me when you had Buffalo winning the AFC East.
