That's f'ing ridiculous.
Why not incorporate American Free Agent/Dancing with the Rookie/The Most Eligible Draft Pick and make the draft a season long show? You have 32 teams who get the right to pick the #1 rated player. That player gets to interview the head coaches of the 32 teams, and give them roses for the teams he likes. Those teams go on to dance with an NFL cheerleader of their choice and have dance offs. The final 8 teams then pick a front office manager to sing and get voted by NFL fans everywhere to see who gets to draft the #1 pick!! The draft is long enough and as it is it's too fucking long. Turning it into a half week marathon is shit. I hate the idea. |

Brian McCarthy, the National Football League's vice president of corporate communications, said today via Twitter that the league is contemplating taking the draft to prime-time over three days. The first round would be on Thursday night, rounds two and three would be on Friday night, and Saturday night would host rounds four through seven. Obviously the move is for television ratings. |
