I don't think Andy Reid knew either because he punted the ball back to the Bengals with 1:10 left in OT on 4th and 1

Bengals would have been in FG range if we didn't make it...and we would have been guaranteed a loss. No matter how you play it out, a tie is better than a loss.

You can't tie in football in college or high school (at least here you can't) and it is very rare in the NFL.

Until today it has I think only happened once since he was drafted, 10 years and 1 tie. I bet a lot of people are looking at the score today saying the same thing.
