How come they almost beat the Patriots last week? There offense was rolling against the Patriots Starting Defense and had that guy got 5 more yards would have beat the Patriots. Raiders D is shutting them down in both running and passing. Today, Croyle is out, and Huard got hurt after 4 passes. Tyler Thigpen had to come in, and when that didn't work the Chiefs brought in Marques Hagans to play QB. Hagans is a WR in the NFL. Now, you tell me if I should really put much into the Raiders shutting down the Chiefs' offense. Stopping Larry Johnson is one thing (which became substantially easier with both Croyle and Huard out.) But stopping the pass is a completely different thing. Hall and Nnamdi would be the laughing stock of the league if they couldn't shut down the Chiefs' passing offense with Thigpen and Hagans at QB. |

Let's see. Well, first, Tom Brady got hurt making that a closer game than it would have been. Second, the Chiefs had Brodie Croyle and Damon Huard as their two quarterbacks. After Croyle got hurt, Huard came in, although Huard isn't great, did a good job. |

ahh whatever a wins a win, and if the Raiders are so bad then the chiefs should be dominating them since everyone picked the Chiefs to win, I know its hard to admit the Raiders are playing 100 times better against the chiefs then they did against the Broncos, and the only real thing that has been horrible about the Raiders today is Russells passing. What I'm saying is that Hall and Nnamdi have not proven themselves at all yet. They got destroyed by the Broncos' passing attack and have shut down the Chiefs 3rd string and emergency QBs. The Raiders are doing what they have to do to win. That's fine. It doesn't mean that Hall and Nnamdi have "gelled" or that they're going to be able to stop an actual passing attack. |

I'm not commenting on how good the Raiders are at all. McFadden is apparently having a hell of a game and the team certainly looks better than they did against the Broncos. |

I said they are doing better and they have only 2 games with each other so far and they are Gelling not gelled already they are gelling. |

We'll see. It certainly doesn't hurt shutting down the Chiefs. I'm just saying it doesn't really provide any evidence of improvement. It'll be interesting to see how they do next week. Buffalo looks good. |
