you even bringing up maroney shows you have no idea what you are talking about.
Yeah I'd also take Ricky Proehl Jr. in his prime over a 23 year old RB who averages 4.4 ypc and has scored 6 tds in both of his professional seasons (remember Welker only had 8 when he was supposedly the MAIN COG?). Welker has only once in his entire career amassed more than one td in an ENTIRE SEASON. Last season, on the BEST OFFENSE IN NFL HISTORY (okay, that vikes team was good too).

Just over 1500 yards in two years.

Clearly a cog.

WHAT? You're kind of too sensitive or something. Saying Welker was a main cog DOES NOT mean that he's more important than Brady or Moss. Not at all. I can't help that you want to make the argument that way, though.

Hardass? Holy fuck. This coming after you accuse someone of having the dumbest post of the day? Damn.

No way I can continuing making such eloquent points. You've clearly got that demographic staked out.
How about you read over everything before jumping into the fray then, because you obviously haven't been following along. It was said that he was THE main cog of the offense, not A main cog. Why the hell else would we be discussing the alternative offensive options on the Pats' offense? I mean honestly, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here.

Oh, I'm sorry. I thought I was the one making semantical arguments.

Sheesh, man.

I feel like you're taking crazy pills, too.

lesson learned today: if you lead not just your team but the league in receptions you are not one of the main cogs of your offenses success.

you hear that houshmazadeh and reggie wayne?

I agree with ashey and LSU, Welker was a HUGE part of that offense. Just because he didn't amass a ton of TDs, doesnt mean he wasn't pivotal. Definitely more of a cog than their running game.

Greatest return man ever is still the 45th pick I'd make for my football team. Probably 47th if you add in a kicker and punter.

The pats offense was great before welker and it'd be great after. The bears ST wouldn't be

Alright since everyone decided to go the douchebag route (myself included), I'll just go ahead and post EXACTLY what was said and EXACTLY what the debate was about. Here's what I said:

You can't just say "which team is better" to substantiate that argument though. The point you just presented right here, that's much more intelligent/convincing/accurate. It's not as though Welker or Hester was the main cog in their team's success or failure. Here's what ashey said (responding directly to the bolded sentence above):

no? what then would you call the guy who lead the league in receptions? From there things were misconstrued and semantics were argued, but if you want to say that I'm arguing semantics as to what it was that I originally intended, then just shut up. I said what I said with specific intent, and so did ashey. End of story, now go cog yourself in the cog with a rubber cog. You coggot.

Oh. Well if we're to get all technical, portraying me as getting into the Welker debate is idiocy considering my comment about Big Tight End Ben had nothing to do with Welker, just a comment that he certainly has no business being mentioned in any coggy way in regards to the Pats' offense. Where it went from there in douchebaginess was inevitable.

Just shut up, indeed.

How many fumbles did Hester have last year?

How many did Welker have?
