for Jackonsville, I would definitely say Jimmy Smith hands down. Also this is debatable, but Dallas, give me Emmit Smith, he is after all the record holder...

Does Jim Brown go to both Baltimore and Cleveland?

I would think the old Browns history goes with the new Browns. If it doesn't, it'd go to the Ravens, but certainly not both.

Yep. The Ravens got their own franchise history and the new Browns retained the old Brown's history.

For the Eagles, Bobby Hoying has to be given some consideration.

I saw Bobby after a game in Atlanta....he was standing there with his Mom and Dad complaining that the Line wouldn't block for him.

Saw Duce Staley and Dunn at that game too...think I have autographs of all three.

I'm well aware of Alzado's impact, moreso for the Raiders than the Broncos, but can anyone really be better for the Broncos than Elway?

My father will argue until he turns blue that Hutson was the best WR ever, far better than Jerry Rice even. He was at the game when Hutson scored 29 points in a quarter. It's pretty unlikely that record will ever be broken.

Mike Alstott? You've got to be kidding me.

And I'm hardly surprised that you picked Favre for the Packers. I hope I don't piss you off by saying that I wouldn't even pick him as the best QB in Packer history. Bart Starr's 5 championships in 7 years and one INT per 71 attempts in the playoffs are far better to what Favre has done.

Kidding? I don't think so. 6 time Pro Bowler, face of the franchise for 10 years, and key offensive contributor to a Super Bowl squad?

As far as Favre is concerned, we'll agree to disagree. Starr is a fantastic quarterback and a legitimate NFL legend, but benefitted from some of the most complete teams in NFL history. You can likely count the number of Hall of Famers Favre has played with in his career on one hand and Starr's championship teams were chalked full of them. 2 offensive linemen (and a third who SHOULD be in there), Hall of Fame running backs, wide receivers, defensive backs, defensive linemen, and linebackers.

Denver Broncos: Lyle Alzado
Of course, while Lyle was a popular Bronco, you'd get a loud, booming argument Bronco fans - I mean, John Elway did play for the Broncos.

Which is why the category might have to be offensive and defensive players. On the offensive side,I couldn't see any other Bronco except Elway. Now Terrell Davis had some terrific years from the RB slot - but just didn't last as long as Elway.

However, as a longtime Bronco fan, on the defensive side I wouldn't pick Lyle. I'd take Randy Gradishar.

Alzado played the majority of his career as a Bronco (1971-78 seasons) - not as a Raider (or Brown, his other team). Now he did have a huge impact in beating the Raiders a few times, particularly in the Orange Crush season of 1977.

As a Bronco, Lyle was in the Pro Bowl twice, all-pro ftwice, 2nd team all pro once, all AFC five times, and AFC Player of the year in 1977. He won one award as a Brown, 2nd team all AFC, and one as a Raider - AFC Comeback player of the year in 1982.

But as stated - Elway had the 16-year impact as the Bronco quarterback. Noone beats Elway overall in Denver.
