Dallas Cowboys: Emmitt Smith And I'm hardly surprised that you picked Favre for the Packers. I hope I don't piss you off by saying that I wouldn't even pick him as the best QB in Packer history. Bart Starr's 5 championships in 7 years and one INT per 71 attempts in the playoffs are far better to what Favre has done. |

Mike Alstott? You've got to be kidding me. As far as Favre is concerned, we'll agree to disagree. Starr is a fantastic quarterback and a legitimate NFL legend, but benefitted from some of the most complete teams in NFL history. You can likely count the number of Hall of Famers Favre has played with in his career on one hand and Starr's championship teams were chalked full of them. 2 offensive linemen (and a third who SHOULD be in there), Hall of Fame running backs, wide receivers, defensive backs, defensive linemen, and linebackers. |

Here's an argument starter.....who is the best player in the history of every NFL team? Here's my list. Which is why the category might have to be offensive and defensive players. On the offensive side,I couldn't see any other Bronco except Elway. Now Terrell Davis had some terrific years from the RB slot - but just didn't last as long as Elway. However, as a longtime Bronco fan, on the defensive side I wouldn't pick Lyle. I'd take Randy Gradishar. |

I'm well aware of Alzado's impact, moreso for the Raiders than the Broncos, but can anyone really be better for the Broncos than Elway? As a Bronco, Lyle was in the Pro Bowl twice, all-pro ftwice, 2nd team all pro once, all AFC five times, and AFC Player of the year in 1977. He won one award as a Brown, 2nd team all AFC, and one as a Raider - AFC Comeback player of the year in 1982. But as stated - Elway had the 16-year impact as the Bronco quarterback. Noone beats Elway overall in Denver. |
