Ok, I'm not responding to every single post in this thread - however Fahvra you have no place talking about man love for a qb.
Secondly, I admit and have admitted in this thread that Tom Brady has some dangerous weapons, there is no question. However simply having weapons does not make you an elite quarterback. Tom Brady's accuracy has been ridiculous through the first seven games - due in part to his line, in part to his wr's, and in good part to his talent (along with maturity at the qb position). For anyone to sit up here and clown to say Kurt Warner would have these stats right now is a damned fool. Kurt Warner had three good years in his entire professional career, and his career td/int ratio is 1.5, and was 3.1 in his BEST year. Tom's career ratio is 2.1 and I would argue Tom Brady over the course of his NFL career has had far worse receivers than Kurt, in fact Tom's best receiver up till this year (Branch) still has yet to have a 1k season in the pro's. Which now brings me to Donte Stallworth, Welker, and Watson, all supposed "pro bowlers" (I will leave Randolph alone because I beleive he's the shit). Stallworth is a guy who still to this point has been more hype than substance. He also has yet to put up a 1k season though has played with one of the better qb's in the league (D Mac). Welker...the little fucker welker who is having the season of his life through 7 games he's nearly at his reception total from last year, will soon eclipse his prior yards and has already made his career td mark. So, was he a probowler before coming to NWE? Now Watson, I'll leave well enough alone because he's a damn good player and is finally getting looks So that is now three players who are all having breakout years with Tom throwing the ball their way. Tom Brady is an elite quarterback, his superbowl perforamnces and rings prove it. He is currently an elite quarterback enjoying high quality talent on his team. And as I said, I believe elite quarterbacks could come close to his numbers this year with this cast, but the only one I believe that would match it would be Manning (I think Favre would have too many picks) In any case, we are pointlessly debating an argument that everybody has a stance on, and one that is too theoretical, so I rest my case. Good day mates. |

Ok, I'm not responding to every single post in this thread - however Fahvra you have no place talking about man love for a qb. ![]() he could easily do what brady is doing(along with manning, palmer, brees, mcnabb, yada yada yada) if they all had the weapons brady has right now. and if moss was taking away ints from dbs like he did two of bradys td passes yesterday, Brett would have very few picks. brady has hardly been touched all season, thats because of his line not because hes the white michael vick. give any qb time and he wont have to force shit. and you need to watch a few more Packer games before you say shit about accuracy. 90% of Brett's picks come on heaves and tipped balls, one of which he cant do anything about, but over the middle on post and slant patterns hes as deadly accurate as anyone. |
