It was interesting to pull in a Buffalo sports talk station today and listen to all the Buffalonians worried that their team is about to move to Toronto. |

I don't think it'll happen. Someone on here brought up that Buffalo sells out every home game in a bigger stadium, why would they move to a smaller stadium? They would have to do something about a stadium in Toronto though. The NFL requires a minimum of atleast 60-65 thousand. They mentioned today the possibility of lowering the field at SkyDome to add 10,000 or so more seats. |

Waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy more corporate dollars in Toronto, plus 15-20 thousand fans every Sunday at the Ralph are Canadians from Ontario. Seems like the SkyDome gets used for everything. Can you fit MLB, NFL, and the CFL, all into one building? I guess it helps them that the Jays never make the playoffs anymore. |

With the NFL being the only professional sports league without a franchize in Canada, I'm not sure how much I care for the idea. Not that it's a terrible thought, but with the Canadian Football League already in Toronto it'd be a tough thing to pull off. That's despite the corporate dollars.
From what I understand the only thing keeping the team in Buffalo is the owner whose about a foot and 2/3 in the grave already. The team from the way it sounds is losing money despite the sellouts. How big is Albany or Rochester, NY? Maybe Syracuse? Syracuse has that dome for the University and could possibly support them. If the team would move to Toronto, I'd definitely support it even if I'd like the league to remain entirely in the US. |
