Default The owners of the Baltimore Ravens
Bought a basketball court at the boys and girls club of annapollis, MD and named it after my best friend, LaRon Cephas that passed away last month.

He was a member of the final four team of the terps and was a co-captain of the team. He had just got his dream job working with kids and helped open up this boys and girls club. In a world where people talk about the wrongs of the major leagues I figured this would be a great story.

I will forever be gratefull to the baltimore ravens owners. They did not know LaRon, just knew of him like a lot of people in the area did. He will now have a basketball court forever named after him.

The news of his death actually made the bottom of the page of sportscenter.

Enlarged heart. Died ironing his clothes in the morning getting ready for work at the young age of 29.

There is a link to one of the couple of different articles on his death(before they really knew what caused it) He made the front page of the sports section on 3 or 4 differnt papers. I felt he was honored very much by that. But when I found out about the court....I know I won't live this big of a legacy behind but I sure hope I leave this world with a positive influence like he did

damn man 29...that's crazy. I had a high school friend die in a car crash (some white racist dudes ran them off the road in alabama) it was the worst thing ever, even worse than when my pops died, just different when someone passes on in your age group.

Yea no doubt. My gma passed 2 days before and I only shed a few tears as it was expected. I'm still not over this.

Someone put it into perspective for me though. If your lost your best friend, imagine the pain of losing a son. Both his parents are still alive.

Did they ever catch those dudes
