what does that tell me? That the kid actually cares about other people and wants to help others out there in the world. Cares more about people then he does about making millions in the nfl and playing on a crappy team. More sports stars should be like him. Hes down to earth and trying to help the less fortunate
Then he shouldn't worry, because that doesn't fit the Raiders profile.

Wow, that is one set of balls on the kid to turn down all that money and stay in college an extra year risking injury or less money (if he has a poor season) just so he doesn't end up a Raider.

Good for him...
Aside from financial issues, you also have to take into consideration one's quality of life. I can't imagine it's been much fun playing in Oakland the last 3 years.

All the better for the Vikes, I just hope now we have the sense to package Fred Smoot, our No. 1 and our No. 2 or 3. to Detroit so we can draft him

You bring up a good point, but with their young defense, I'm doubting it.

They will shore up that offense enough to win some ballgames next year.

LMAO.

Not a chance. Smoot is terrible, and teams don't make deals with division rivals very often.

(Please forget for one sec that Millen is the GM.)

I think Smoot is a slightly above average CB in the prime of his career with a heinously low cap number, besides don't you guys need some help at CB?

If the trade is mutually beneficial, why would they not do it? I've been hearing from people on your boards that you think the Lions will try trade down.

The only thing the Raiders will have working against them next year is a very tough division.

Their defense was number 3 and they couldn't get off the field b/c the offense was so dreadful.

They have all the makings of a team that can win close to half their games with an improved offense.

Can they shore up that offense in one year?

It all depends on what happens with Moss and Porter.

Trust me when I tell you to think that the Lions would trade within the division that you're in a dream land.

Furthermore, the fact that Fred fucking Smoot is the KEY to the deal, I can't help but laugh.

I don't blame anyone for thinking the Lions will bail them out though b/c Millen is the laughing stock of the league as well as the Lions currently are.

YUCK.

That would have to be one of the most nondescript deals ever.

10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag.

I suppose McCown is the best of the bunch.

To answer your original question, the Lions need help all over the field.

Um the 1st and the 2nd or 3rd would be they key to deal, Smoot in theory is just the servicable role player we throw in to sweeten the deal. Hell swap him for Darrion Scott, Brooks Bollinger or Mike Rosenthal it's just 5-10% of the value of the trade.

I don't see any of those scenarios happening in a million years.

If it does, you know where to find me and I'll admit I'm wrong.
