We dont know the complete story..Wayne Huizenga mentioned that Nick Saban never told him that he was not leaving..Only that they had discussed it and that he told Saban that he was behind him what ever choice he made.

WH also mentioned/allowed it to slip at the meeting that THEY ALL discussed it this morning...
Huizenga said he met with Saban and his wife this morning.

They just said on espn radio that Nick told his assistant coaches over speaker phone he was leaving.

Oh and when Wayne said he discussed it this morning, I'm sure he meant via telephone. Because there were reporters at the complex all morning and Saban was never there.

He said at the press conference that he met with Saban at home this morning.

We know enough as far as I'm concerned. He stood in front of the media and the fans for WEEKS saying he had no interest in the Alabama job, even went as far as flat out saying he WOULD NOT be the next coach at Alabama. Now we hear reports that he had his agent floating his name to colleges for MONTHS.

Now as far as I know that those are unconfirmed reports, but when we DO know for sure is that when it came down to it, Saban didn't have the balls, or even the common decency, to stand up for his decision.

Then again I guess it's hard to face the same people you just finished shitting on when they were in the right.
Miami and WH knew what was happening...so what if he said he wasnt takeing or interested in the job a month ago..that was during regular season and he did it to keep focus on the Dolphins.Unlike some coaches who say they want a job elsewhere(Mora) and distracts the team..and who cares if he called, told him in person or over a 1970's CB..WH is fine with it..who knows WH may have told him to call instead of making the trip..WH is okay with his decision thats all that matters, not speculation or whatever..

What about his coaches whom he has spent a lot of time with? Tells them over speaker phone he's leaving. If it was me I would be telling them face to face.

Hey, if you don't think what he did was dishonest and cowardly, so be it. But me thinks that a man who likes to preach integrity and toughness and what not, should practice the same.
