The poll question is which 0-2 team is the most surprising, but I'm going to take the subject a bit further.
Current 0-2 teams: Oakland (no real surprise) Kansas City (Pretty surprising, but not with Green getting hurt and LJ being so grossly overrated in the preseason) Tennessee (Vince Young can surely get better than a 1.9 rating) Houston (Nice job on that 1st round pick) Cleveland (I definitely thought they'd have more success) Miami (That run defense needs a serious overhaul) Carolina (Losing Smith just demoralized that offense) Tampa Bay (When you are not a threat on the ground, your passing game just can't be successful.) Detroit (Same ol crap, different year) Green Bay (No surprise here. Shoulda went out when you had the chance, Brett) Washington (The perennial pre-season favorites just don't have it on offense) 0-2 teams' week 3 matchups: Washington at Houston (One of these teams will come out 0-3, and to be honest, I am at a loss when trying to predict who it will be) Green Bay at Detroit (See above. On paper, I think Detroit is better, and I honestly don't see Brett and Co having any better luck than Seattle against Detroits defense) Tennessee at Miami (I don't have much doubt that at the end of this one, we'll see Vince Young crowned the starter, and Tennessee 0-3) Carolina at Tampa Bay (Carolina should win this one. But they should have beat Minnesota, too) Baltimore at Cleveland (I don't see the Browns standing much of a chance here, but there IS room for an upset) Kansas City and Oakland have BYE weeks this week. So, in the end, there will be at least 4 teams at 0-3 going in to week 4, possibly 5 teams. For me, this is how I see it shaking down: Cleveland - Baltimore will focus on Droughns and force Frye to beat them in the air. He won't be able to, and Cleveland will find themselves yet again searching for answers Carolina - They will find a way to win this game, but will it matter in terms of them being in contention in December? I don't think so. Tennessee - Happy trails, Kerry Collins. To the bench you will go. Green Bay - Despite my above comments, I do think Green Bay will win this one, but only if Ahman Green can be effective both rushing and receiving. Houston - Even though they're 0-2, they have managed to score 34 points against two quality football teams. I think they pull this one out at home. 0-3 teams after Sunday: Washington Tennessee Detroit Cleveland Tampa Bay Just my take. |

I went with Miami, I thought they were going to be good this year. All they have done is dissapointed. Carolina was a choice but without Smith they aren't that good, look at last years NFC Championship game. Seattle shut him down and Carolina could do very little. Foster has been quite the disappointment too. 2.9 yards per carry is terrible. |

ditto Isn't and hasn't it been painfully obvious that without Smith, that entire offense crumbles? Delhomme isn't shit without Smith, and without the passing threat, Foster isn't good enough to make plays happen on his own. When a one-dimensional offense loses their only dimension, it's no surprise when they lose. |

But counter that in that it's the saints. But yes, allowing 41 points from the Browns and Packers is cause for concern. Which is why I think the Falcons will have their way with them. |
