Default Qwest Field/Seahawk Fans..
Listening to Westwood One CBS radio on the way home tonight...

"Loudest stadium I've ever heard for a championship game."

"Most devoted fans I've ever seen."

*Pops in tape of 1996 NFC Championship Game*

*Laughs histerically*

No kidding. I could name 5 franchises/fanbases off the top of my head better and more devoted than the Seahawks.

Better and more devoted yes. But that stadium is pretty damn loud and you can tell from just watching on TV. The Carolina lineman were having to turn their heads to read Delhommes lips.

Seahawks = temporary bandwagon

I think the most diehard are Bills and Packers. I've just heard Packer stuff from TV/internet, but I've been to Orchard Park, and that is CRAZY, and that was in 2003, when they were pretty bad, and it was late in the season and they were done for the playoffs.

However, nothing, and I mean NOTHING, comes close to Notre Dame football. That experience, I will never ever ever forget.

Being damn loud is one thing.... being Arrowhead, Lambeau, Heinz, or the Linc is another.

In all fairness, this has been the Seahawks fans first chance to get loud in their history, or at least since 1983.

I concur, college fanbases are far better than NFL, as a whole. Just look at Florida, Texas A&M, among others. I'd say the Packers, Chiefs, and Bills have the most college-like ziel for their teams in the NFL.

I find it funny. Where is really the toughest place to play. It seems everyone wants to claim it. Denver wanted to claim it today and so did Seattle. Arrowhead wants to claim it...who the hell knows for sure.

Sometimes people seem to confuse a hard place to play with having a great team. The Pack's record at home this year was mediocre, to say the least. That's not to say opposing teams had it easy there. There's a lot that goes into being a "hard place to play." Crowd size. Crowd noise. Weather. Among other things.

One thing I think people underestimate at places like Lambeau and Arrowhead is the intimacy of the crowd to the field. The seating bowl puts the fans DAMN close to the action, and no seat really feels that far from the field.

Whatever team has the best winning percentage of games at home. Seems to me that'd be a good measure. I'm not gonna look it up, but, it's a good idea.

You would think for noise that domes would be the hardest place to play but teams still lose there (see the colts). If you have the better team the crowd doesn't matter. From the beg. of that game tonight Seattle gave their crowd soemthing to roar about for the entire first half.

God, I hate Daryle Waltrip.

I've been almost exactly in those seats many times. Goddamn that organization blows.

Well, if your just defining it by crowd noise and craziness then fine...

I'd define it by wins and losses.

Speaking of which

since it opened

not including preseason, but including postseason

Gillette Stadium

New England Patriots 31-6 85% winning percentage. Good stuff.

Wanna know how fucking crazed Packer fans are....they will fill the fucking stadium for pre season away games..and pay to do it

They volunteer to shovel the stadium

They had to push back the time when they started allowing people in because psycho fans were in the seats 6 hours before the game stared..

Now the loudest game I have ever been at was Michigan vs Michigan State, it was awhile back and I think it was at the State campus...about 100 thousand + and those fans are crazy, they were so loud it was like a physical pressure on your body......just the sound from the place made you feel like you had your ass kicked when you left
