Default Teams that sucked ass in 2004
and made the playoffs this year.

Giants
Redskins
Bears
Bucaneers

Teams that made the playoffs in 2004, but sucked ass this year.

Packers
Eagles
Rams
Chargers
Falcons

So, you see, picking in the top ten, does not mean you are light years away from the playoffs.

Especially in the NFC, where only one team (Seattle) is going back.

That's why the NFL is so fuckin good right now. Every team has a chance every year.

Good?

or mediocre?

None of these teams really give an indication of being great.

Maybe Indy or Seattle, but I could see them tanking it with the loss of one key player.

I don't think the Chargers or Falcons "sucked ass" (Ok, the Falcons did!)

I think the Chargers had a tough schedule and still had an "ok" season, and the Falcons just tanked it down the stretch.

Unless you're the Detroit Lions.

I was more surprised at how many playoff teams got their asses handed to them or beat yesterday. Not a good way to go into the playoffs.

Well, the Chargers, after beating Indy, went 72 minutes without a score and basically choked down the stretch.

No, they did the same thing they've tended to do the last few years when playing teams with winning records.
