Have "da Boyz" EVER been America's Team?

Da Boyz as in the Dallas Cowboys,yeah thats their nickname..has been since the late 70's..even if its as lame as the Braves being referred to as America's team in Baseball..seems like that title would have to go to the Yankees..

I found this quote in an article talking about a new license plate to help fund the Colts' new stadium.

Miami is the only team to ever go 13-0 and never were called America's team so why would the Dolts..
Dallas got the title because of the National Support,not because they were classy or went undefeated or won more SB's than any one..Heck the Steelers at the time had more..And the only other team that came close to support where the Whiners of the 80's but then the Boys came back on the scene and regained the favoritism.
