In no particular order:

Carson Palmer
Peyton Manning (even though he's not putting up 2004 numbers, as long as Indy is undefeated he'll be in the conversation)
Edgerrin James
Jake Plummer (I can't believe I'm typing this)
Ladanian Tomlinson
Steve Smith (I doubt he'll get it b/c he's a WR, but he's having an amazing year)
Shaun Alexander

But he hasn't made a big difference for the league so far.

Drew Bledsoe? Can it be?

Antonio Gates should receive an outside shot.
Totally amazed you would even think that or share that thought.....he certainly has been a pleasant surprise in Dallas and has definitely made a difference.

Default MVP watch
So, who's on the list midway?

I'd say Alexander and Palmer will get some looks. I would have said LT, but his last two weeks have been unimpressive. Edge has been putting up good numbers in lieu of the Indy passing attack. Who else?
