Steelers | Police and Courts: Steelers Sue Contractors
Fri, 16 Sep 2005 22:59:45 -0700 The Associated Press reports the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Sports and Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County have filed a lawsuit against five contractors and suppliers. The lawsuit alleges that there are systematic failures of the expansion joints throughout Heinz Field. The joints are supposed to preserve the concrete slabs that form the bulkheads and passageways. The firms being sued are contractors: Wyatt Inc., of Robinson Township, PA, and Western Waterproofing Co., of Broadway Heights, OH. The manufacturers are: Dow Corning Corp., Degussa Construction Chemicals, and Watson Bowman Acme Corp. |

I'm sure that there weren't any unbelievable time demands put on them.
This is what I always get: Completion date Oct. 14. New completion date Oct. 1. Ok, we think we can get it done by Sept. 15. Work all the overtime you want, we're just not paying for it. The only contractor that ends up putting out a quality job is me, and I'm damn mad and ready to whip somebody's ass by then. Of course this could be a completely different deal. |
