Tell Sal Paolantonio to stop spreading BS then. He's such a fucking liar. I told all of you Sal was a liar.
Well, he did say that. However, the Eagles website puts out video of practice everyday. He talks to a number of players.

The idea that he's faking the injury is just conjecture.

If he wasn't talking to coaches or players at all, he wouldn't have been in camp for this long, would he?

The special treatment was letting him out of the autograph session.

This rubbed players the wrong way.

Then they compound it by bringing it out in a meeting instead of privately.

Other than that the team has handled it about right.

From what I understand they didnt let him out of anything. He chose not to show up.

OMG are the Eagles getting killed or what?!?!?

http://www.philly.com/mld/philly/spo.../12350280.htms

The article only reports that he left camp, but according to ESPN radio, he has left to his home in Atlanta.

This is the worst possible situation the Eagles could be in. They are without their top 3 wideouts from last year! How the heck do they expect to pass the ball?!?!
This isn't really a big deal. We've got young talent, and our FO will pick someone up. Who? I don't know. But I'm really not too worried. TO was going to bring this team down one way or another, better to do it before the season starts.

From Sal palentonio:

apparently, Owens didn't show for a autograph session.

Other players bitched and instead of the coach confronting him or asking him about it individually, he brought it up in a team meeting.

Yeah, the Eagles know just how to handle things. Give special traetment to a crybaby.

I think it was more then an auto session. Ive heard things about his injury not being legit , him not practicing with the team and nobody talk on the team or staff talking to him.

Yeah. Mckenzie didnt do that either last year.

Who knows. It was reported he talked to Greg Lewis and thats it. The rest of the time was spent practicing away from the rest of the team.
He was talking to all of the receivers on the video. He smiled at the crowd when they cheered for him.

Trotter is one of his better friends and talks with him regularly.

Yeah... losing arguably the best WR last year is not a big deal....

Losing your #1, #2, AND #3 WRs from last year is not a big deal...

Good luck with that

I'm still not seeing the special treatment. The autograph session is 20 minutes long. It's run by interns. Nobody who had anything to do with it would have had the balls to get him to sign the autographs before the session ended.

Calling him out in a meeting is just the oppositte of special treatment.

This is all on Owens.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post here, but they certainly did not give him special treatment. If he got special treatment, he would have had his new contract quite some time ago. Or he would have been trade. Or released. Etc.

Trust me...we will be just fine this year.
