I don't think there's any problems between them now. I think Steve was just upset about being on the bench behind Joe and it took him a while to get the team to a Super Bowl, he just couldn't get past those dang Cowboys teams.

I never really appreciated Young when he was with the 49ers. I was young then and used to being in the playoffs and having 11 wins every season. Now, well, its a different story. Plus I live in Indiana so it ain't like I get to see them on TV much(I'm not planning on seeing them for 2 or 3 years on TV here) but at least I have the Colts

I think Young had more of a problem with Montana then Montana did with Young since it was Montana who kept Young on the bench so long.

some of you are saying that young was upset because he was behind montana on the depth chart. how do you think montana felt when he was banished to kansas city because san francisco felt young was a better quarterback? young was probobly not the only person who had hard feelings at the time.

but to think that either of them would be upset about the success of the other one is ludicrous.

How can anyone be angry over someones success. Young is a winner in nearly everything he has done publically, how could anyone, especially a winner like Montana denie him what he has coming.

Joe could be jealous that Steve is a much better TV guy.

Joe was pretty much a wash-out there.

I think otherwise he's glad for him.

I can't imagine how Montana could possibly bear any animosity toward Young, who was a terrific replacement for Joe. Each was spectacular in his own right. And one has very little to do with the other. Great QBs both.

Default what will joe montana think of steve young when he gets into the hall this sunday
i know steve young always talked about the monkey on his back as far as being joe m's replacement and everything, what do you think there relationship is like now and even in the past, actually montana and young were both really outstanding to say the least, but i would like to hear others opinion of the love hate relationship of young and montana.
