Monday night will not be the same without Madden. But Theissman's biggest fault is that he's a little overenthusiastic. Kind of like the Rex Hudler of football announcing

Why in the hell did ABC Drop MNF?
Didn't think the viewing numbers were that bad.

There is not enough room in the booth for those two egos. This could be some good drama, maybe better than the games.
both are very professional so i don't expect it to be a problem. i don't really care who the announcers are anyway. I watch the game. most of the time i'm watching it with music on or talking going on, so none of that means much to me. kinda like being at a sports bar watching every game on all the different monitors. Can't always hear the game anyway.

I think in 06, EaStPN will just have the the PAts, Giants, and Jets play a round robin for 17 weeks on monday nights. The winner obviously getting a pass to the superbowl to play against some other not important team

Definite MUTE BUTTON ALERT!!!!!

Al is a hack and Joe only points out the obvious.

When a play works he says "Gret Call".

When a play doesn't work, he says" "I don't understand that call".

He personifies what Howard Cossell called the "Jockochracy" and their pecnhant for get jobs over qualified broadcasters. How ironic.

At least they won't have Paul "Let me tell you something" McGuire.

Yep, that's the dillema with this. But ESPN showed NFL the money and boom, they got it.

Up north, we are worried about not getting MNF at all once the move is complete. TSN usually shows ESPN Sunday nighters, but they have a contract with WWE to show RAW on Monday's and only RAW.
