I don't own a cheesehead.

And, he couldn't tackle me, either.
I thought you were gonna have a drink. Sounds more like drinks with your foggy thinking.

You supposed to tackle him....he is your moving target.

No cheesehead ownership? ......I thought that was a requirement for Packer Land.

I was watching something on barry the other day and it was amazing to see him run. His style was completly different anybody. He could stop on a dime and had the quickest first step in the league. That alone left defenders jockless many times. They are two of the top backs to ever play the game but there is no clear cut winner.

HE tainted the record and the NFL.
agreed. I wish Sanders had stayed for another 2 years and put the title somewhere no one else could touch it, namely someone playing just for the title and nothing else.

emmit was a class act though.

Walter didn't have a lot surrounding him the first few years.

I completely understand as he contributed absolutely nothing to the NFL.

That's an understatement. The guy's made of steel.
Hating a football player for toughness and longevity makes no sense.
I never said I hated the guy and certainly not because he played a long time. I just don't think he was that damn good. He doesn't deserve to be mentioned along with these other guys because he played a long time. It isn't like it is some sort of new fangled theory that Smith isn't one of the greatest of all time. Hardly anyone gives him that kind of credit.

Default Sweetness vs. Sanders
How was better?

Not sure if I could pick between them, but my vote goes for Sanders. He had no supporting cast.

Not bad for a guy that's only 5' 9" and full of heart.
yeah, he broke my heart plenty of times. Enough times to warrant hatred. But its tough to hate something you respect.

Now Michael Irvin on the other hand....

Have another drink, let the booze settle and the message will soon make sense.
You sound experienced.

And gossipped.

Definitely night & day difference between those two.....however, Michael has found a "new life". Now now....many of us have our "party" stages....Michael simply had a bigger thirst than most.

And Emmitt Smith and Curtis Martin, and Jerome Bettis, and Eric Dickerson, and Tony Dorsett, and Marcus allen and Franco Harris,
or Thurman Thomas
Marshall Faulk
Riggins
Simpson
Watters
George
Anderson
Dillon
Campbell
Taylor
Perry
Byner
Walker
Craig
Riggs
Csonka
McNeil
...
Emmitt doesn't belong in that list he was never THAT good he just always had an awesome team around him,it is hard to compare Sanders to Payton. Payton had a ring, and with Qb's that seems to be what seperates the men from the boys (which I dont completely agree with example Marino)But again Sanders was just amazing and did so many things by himself at times when he had noone around him(please Detroit fans dont jump on me I am not saying he never had a good team)

I remember that cold day in Nov of 1997. I was in a sports bar in Tampa. It was a bad day. Sanders was getting beat and Troy just couldn't connect. We never have liked the cold.

Irvin....he certainly has many more enemies than friends. But he was one helluva competitor.
That was a great day.

It was the first time Dallas had played at Lambeau in .... a LONG time.

The damn schedule makers had some sort of plan to educate Brett to the benefit of Troy.

Both men were freaking awesome and 2 of MY all time favorites to watch....

Top 2 RB's EVER in my eyes....
tough to leave Jim Brown out of that mix

agreed, I hated the cowboys with a passion. how many frickin times in a row did the boys beat the Pack? I think it was 7 times at dallas before the schedule makers did us a favor put you guys in GB. that was a happy day.

Ill restate I think emmitt and acheman, were both class acts on and off the field. I still hate the coke head though.

I don't think Marcus Allen gets enough credit...
There was a bar in Brentwood called "Mom's" .... up on San Vicente I think.

Marcus hung out there now and then. He was afraid to take me on in darts.

I will say he was a class act. At least in all the times I've ever observed him. The U.S.C. thing brings him down...... But John Robinson snookered him.

Walter easily.

He was 2nd favorite player ever!

He was a gentleman off the field and a SOB on it. He didnt run around D players he ran over them.

That last press conference he did when he announced he was sick was one of the saddest things I have ever seen.

What a great guy.

Too experienced for my own good......and I thrive on in-law gossip.
Good for you.

There are other kinds. But I won't ever go behind somebody's back to explain such.
