No I think we should have it, I already know the winner though.
Unless some Packers fans vote with their...thier...I would say heads, but I'm not sure that would do the trick, either.

In that case, I agree with you about knowing the winner.

Hey. . .if dude wants to sit there and keep saying stupid things towards me, I'm going to keep telling him he's wrong. Particularly when he's wrong. Which is pretty much all the time.
riiiight. you started the fucking argument in the first place.

If he proves he's worthy of starting, then he should be starting.

As it stands now, there are at least 2 veterans on the depth chart ahead of him (Bennett and Moore, since Moe is used pretty much exclusively for 3rd downs and short yardage). If the vets in front of him that should get the first shot to produce DON'T produce and/or he shows the coaches something in practice or in a substitute role that makes them think he's worthy of starting, then he should be starting. That's why I said he'll be the starter by mid-season, not the start of the season.
Isn't that putting faith into an unknown player over a proven vet?

And what does the Vikings runningback dpeth chart have to do with a QB Showdown?

I call shenanigans!

That's fine, considering that Daunte is still well within his prime.
too bad youll never see him get a ring "in his prime".

Favre v. Culpepper, 9 January 2005

Favre: 22/33. 216 yards, 1 TD, 4 INT
Culpepper: 19/29, 284 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT

Can someone remind me how that one turned out? Ah, here's someone:

Culpepper > Favre. We're not giving out lifetime achievement awards here, spanky.
Didn't they play each other 3 times last year?

Well, I decided to get an order established for the seedings. Note - This is not my personal ranking of the quarterbacks.

I used passing yards, touchdowns, interceptions, passer rating, and team wins in the calculations. If a quarterback was injured last year, I used their numbers from the previous season (I think I only had to do this 1 or 2 times). A reminder that this isn't meant to be a definitive list, but something I've used to set up an order for seeding. It's based on stats, not opinion, and I'm sure in spite of it, someone's going to be pissed off that quarterback X got a higher/lower seeding than quarterback Y.

Calculated seedings (If there is a definite other starting quarterback than the one I have listed for each team, please let me know so I can adjust accordingly):
1] Peyton Manning, IND
2] Donovan McNabb, PHI
3] Daunte Culpepper, MIN
4] Drew Brees, SD
5] Steve McNair, TEN
6] Tom Brady, NE
7] Ben Roethlisberger, PIT
8] Brett Favre, GB
9] Trent Green, KC
10] Jake Delhomme, CAR
11] Marc Bulger, STL
12] Jake Plummer, DEN
13] Chad Pennington, NYJ
14] Matt Hasselbeck, SEA
15] Byron Leftwich, JAX
16] Aaron Brooks, NO
17] Michael Vick, ATL
18] David Carr, HOU
19] Brian Griese, TB
20] Drew Bledsoe, DAL
21] Joey Harrington, DET
22] Kyle Boller, BAL
23] Kurt Warner, ARI
24] Carson Palmer, CIN
25] Kerry Collins, OAK
26] Patrick Ramsey, WAS
27] Rex Grossman, CHI
28] Trent Dilfer, CLE
29] Tim Rattay, SF
30] JP Losman, BUF
31] Eli Manning, NYG
32] AJ Feeley, MIA

They sure did. . .the Packers won 2 meaningless regular season games against the Vikings and got a meaningless division title.

This gave them the right to get embarassed by the Vikings in front of their home fans and in front of a national TV audience after we listened to Packer fans and the national media declare Green Bay to be a dark horse for the Super Bowl.

My top 10

1. Manning, Peyton
2. McNabb, Donovan
3. Culpepper, Daunte
4. Favre, Brett
5. McNair, Steve
6. Pennington, Chad
7. Brady, Tom
8. Leftwich, Byron
9. Vick, Michael
10. Hasselback, Matt
1, 2, and 3 I can agree with. . .although I might move Brady up from 3 and drop Daunte down to 4.

McNair is too high, unless he proves he can come back from his injuries from last year.

I'd probably go

1) Manning
2) McNabb
3) Brady
4) Culpepper
5) Favre
6) Hasselbeck
7) Trent Green
8) Drew Brees
9) McNair
10) Vick

knock off the name calling fuckface.

cletidus can kiss every Packer fans ass, no one cares about him anymore.

Jim Bates will do more for our D than two washed up vets will do for the queens D.

and as far as your team winning anything meaningful, dont hold your breath.

NO WAIT, please hold your breath.
Washed up vets? You mean like

26 year old Fred Smoot, a signing which gives us (arguably) the best CB tandem in the NFC?

29 year old Darren Sharper, a signing which gives us a huge upgrade at FS over what we had?

32 year old Pat Williams, who's regarded as one of the best run-stopping DTs in the game and is a huge upgrade over what we had?

You mean one of those guys? Or do you mean people we acquired in trades, such as

25 year old Napoleon Harris, who was only the starting MLB on a team that went to the Super Bowl his rookie season?

Or 30 year old Sam Cowart, who cost us all of a 7th round pick to acquire and is, in all likelihood, an upgrade over what we had?

Yeah. . .SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO washed up. If all of those guys were Packers, they'd be awesome, right?

It could be far worse. . .we could be signing guys like

Earl "Cleveland thought that Brian Russell was better than me" Little
Arturo "I couldn't pry my arse off the bench in Miami" Freeman
Matt "24 games on IR in the last 2 years" O'Dwyer
Adrian "Ouch, I'm hurt again!" Klemm

While losing nothing but a Pro Bowl caliber safety and 2 of the best guards in the game, all the while acting like it's no big deal and that we're still some sort of great team. That would be worse.

Possibly, but lists like these are my only chance to diss Tom Brady and give props to guys I like, i.e. McNair.
