That's right. It's his attitude that gets me most. Arrogant without ever having executed an NFL play, like he's a shoo-in...and that was a year ago. But I'm sure you're right: somebody will pick him up.

Boik, you're right if his attitude actually changes, if he actually does gain some perspective...which is questionable

The best thing for this clown may have been having to take that 2nd year off and gain some humility. With a different attitude and some motivation id say he was worth a shot though i still think are injury concerns (missed a couple games his 1 year at OSU) and questions regarding his ability. He will go 6th rd or later imo and again that could be real good for him in terms of helping him gain some perspective that having the ability to play this game isnt a birthright.

NFL | Clarett Runs Faster Times During Workout - from www.KFFL.com
Thu, 31 Mar 2005 14:12:41 -0800

ESPN.com reports former Ohio State RB Maurice Clarett might have improved his draft stock during a private workout Thursday, March 31, where he ran 4.67 and 4.68 seconds in the 40-yard dash, according to his agents Steve Feldman and Josh Luchs. In fact, one team clocked Clarett at 4.65. Additionally, Clarett finished all his positional drills after not participating in every drill at the combine following a bad 40 time.

I still don't understand the interest in this guy. He hasn't played football in two years, try to tell me he's still sharp. Putting on the pads ain't the same as a "private workout."

I agree whole heartedly. Two years removed from his Freshman year at OS with crappy workouts, bad attitude and teenage poutiness. Once you set a low standard you have a hard time set a higher standard. I will tell you this though. Someone will step up to the plate and pick this kid. I haven't heard much from MCs agent but expect him to try and sell him like McGiness got sold. I know you can't compare the two....WM was a freak of Rehab nature and worked very hard. Same can't be said for Clarett.
