I hope so, and like I said, if he doesnt get to 50 this week I hope he doesnt sit the last game. You would have to believe that they will consider it if nothing is on the line.

There are going to be some broke ass people if he doesnt get to 50.
I think he'll play a quarter or two in the final game, just to keep sharp, JMO, though...

The Eagles could beat the NFC with Donovan McNabb's Mom at QB.

I'll be putting all my money down right before the window closes.
Well, I'm one that thinks the Eagles will still win the NFC. I dont think they could do it with McNabbs mom playing QB though (LOL). In fact, if they do indeed win it, it will have to be won by McNabb...IMO.

expect big betting after the Manning bet pays off *fingers crossed*
I do expect to see a ton of bets put up on this. There is alot of interest, and talk about it right now.

BTW, I also expect to pay the Manning bet this week. he needs two correct? I hope he gets it this week, because I have a sneaky suspicion that he will be sitting the last week if nothing is on the line for the team.

Ok, lots, and lots of great conversation going around right now about the Eagles, and their chances of going to the SB without T.O. in the lineup. Thanks to a great suggestion from Treypops, I have decided to do a Vbookie event on wheather or not they make it.

Its a very simple bet, can they make it or not. I will leave the event up until after the last regular season game.

Good luck guys!

Points allowed is not the only measure on how good a defense is. YPG, YPC, YPR, and other stats also factor in. Personally, I would put my money on other defenses like Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and New England. Points against is often a very misleading stat, often merely reflective of the team's competition.
And yards allowed isn't a reflection of quality of opposition as well?

The Eagles' defense has really stepped it up since Trotter worked back into the starting lineup. I figured it was only a matter of time before that happened anyway, since Nate Wayne sucks. I didn't realize how much of an impact it would have, but the run defense has really shored up down the stretch this year.

Additionally, I am wondering where all the people who questioned the Eagles' cornerbacks are right now. As it stands, Brown and Sheppard guys can pretty much shut out almost any WR tandem in the league. And even though Lito is going to the Pro Bowl, Brown has really emerged as a guy who shuts down his man.

The offense has some questions to answer, but has more options available with a healthy Westbrook and an emerging LJ Smith.

Thats very possible, but I would still rather that he get the 3 this week and not have to worry about it...lol.

Manning needs one for the record, but three TDs to get to 50. With the #3 seed on the line this week I think he'll get it.

Riiiiiiiiiiight.....Anyone other than us eagles fans realize that our D is healthier than last year and is the #1 D in the league... We've only given up 202 points all year... The top 5 D's are...

1. Philadelphia (202)
2. NY Jets (206)
3. Pittsburgh (220)
4. Baltimore (225)
5. Washington (235)

Also last year we didn't have Westbrook.... he's healthy this year and will be a big factor... also I expect our TE's will step up... and last year we had Thrash as our #1 WR... if the lose of him is what makes us not able to make the SB people are out of their minds... also the field last year was so much stronger... so we are healthier.... have a better D... have Westy and no Thrash... and a weaker field of competition...

Eagles will make it to the SB and then its up for debate what will happen... but I don't think it'll be the likely bets from the AFC... for some reason I don't think NE, Pitt., or Indy will be there... I'm thinking possibily The cardiac cats might make it... but I'll place any kind of money on the Birds being there this year...
