Little bit of irony in that Indy's home field is specifically built to benefit the speed offense they use

Guess it's easy to forget that fact, eh?

To refresh my memory, HOW many dome teams have ever won a super bowl?

I'm thinking ONE, but I could be mistaken.

I bet this was JWUGoalie's idea - assuming he's not still trapped in Brad Childress' basement.
You obviously didn't see my theory about JWU being Moss' boy friend. It would help explain the touchdown celebration this weekend if JWU had a seat in the end zone.

I heard on the radio today that the NFL Commissioner's office is looking into reports that the Patriots have intentionally allowed the condition of their field to suffer in preparation for this week's game against the Colts.

The area has supposedly been hit by snow and rain all week and the stadium staff has not once rolled out the tarp, allowing the field to become muddy, choppy, and "heavy". They are doing this to try and slow down the Colts offense and turn the game into a smash-mouth affair.

The reason this has become such a big deal is because the Colts accused the Patriots of doing the same thing last year in the playoffs, which led to one of Peyton Manning's worst game as a pro.
It sure is nice to be in a position to be in control of the playing surface, isn't it?

The Giants did something like that in the 60s against the Dodgers. They saturated the dirt around first base so the Dodgers baserunners couldn't get a good jump while trying to steal.

Ugh!!! I hate the Pats but gotta admit not a bad idea. I guess that's the benefits of having home field advantage

According to NFL rules, a home team is not required to cover the field up until 24 hours before game time.

Whiners......

As if this is new "Da Bears" have been accused of turning off heat to opposing team locker rooms , I remember the Packer 's being accused of supplying faulty sideline heaters, baseball teams that massaged hills into the basepaths when they played teams with good bunters

The Meadowlands have huge retractable gates behind each end zone, they used to open the gate of the end zone the visiting team would be kicking to, and then close that gate and open the other when they switched sides of the field. This was never proven to affect kicking but it potentially could have

This practice continued until the league told them they couldn't open or close them during the game, they were either open or closed by kickoff and they had to stay that way the entire game

Sounds like when the Red Sox put the Cardinals up in a hotel 30 minutes away from Fenway, and they didn't get a decent meal the whole time they were there.

Damn New Englanders just can't help but cheat.

I hate the Patriots. This doesn't surprise me at all. Maybe they'll send a thug to break Peyton's arm before the game.

I think you have the causation reversed in your point about Indy.

It's a shame Stl staff and players could not afford to order cattering service in advance. Also, with regata in Bos the same week and parents week in 10+ MAJOR colleges , over 30 MLB officials and coultless press people couild not find a hotel space in Boston area at all... Go figure

JWU knows Brad Childress.
JWU works as an intern for the Pats.

Brad went to an interview with the 9ers. JWU dropped out of sight. Now the Pats are pulling some tricks with the field.

I smell conspiracy....
no, that's just you. Remember, your wife hasn't been scrubbing you lately.
