Their schedule has been extemely soft during this little run they have been on. However, just like last year they are playing the type of defense, and running the ball in a way that will keep them in almost every game.

Can they beat Philly this year...I doubt it very much. But I didnt think they could last year either.
im with ya slob, but like you said the teams they have been playing have been soft so their play is probably a direct result of that.

i have to agree with the eagle fans on this one. IMO they will lose today against Atlanta, beating losing teams is nothing to get excited about but if they pull off the upset against Atlanta then teams need to take them serious. even if they beat Atlanta its an accomplishment but the road to the sb will go thru philly.

Exactly...theyve beaten San Francisco, Arizona, Tampa, NO, and the free falling Rams. Not exactly spectacular competitioin. They are playing pretty well, but a team like the Eagles or Packers would destroy them.
Im not so sure that anyone is going to destroy them right now. I know the competition hasnt been great but theyve rediscovered their running game and defense which is what got them to the big game last year. On top of that they cant help their schedule; all the they can do is go out and win games. The fact that theyve come all the way back from 1-7 to be in the plyoff hunt says alot about the character of the team. When they make the playoffs, they very well could upset someone.

Probably even worse than that...They may have to beat a team with a winning record to get there.

I dont think they can get to SB, but Id be scared to see a team this hot in the playoffs. Theyre battle tested and I think they could pull an upset in rd 1 but 3 rounds with all their injuries...? Thats tough to believe.

Default Carolina, Superbowl?
With a win this Saturday against Atlanta, the panthers will have a great chance of making the playoffs in the weak NFC. What do you think Carolinas chances are of getting to the Super bowl? or even winning it?

Well IMO, Atlanta isnt that great of a team either. Their running game is pretty much just Vick...take away him and I think i saw they would be like in the late 20s in the NFL for rushing. Vick is not a passing QB, so that's nothin to worry about. Their defense has improved, but all in all, I really just dont see Atl as a team that should be 10-3

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. The teams they've beaten they were supposed to have beaten. So what if they started 1-7, that doesn't change the fact that their last 5 games have been against some of the worst teams in the league. The only loss I can't understand is Oakland, but besides that, they were beaten by superior teams that would still beat them today because they are on another level from San Fran and Arizona. I just don't call beating the teams they've beaten as hot, but we will find out tomorrow night if they can finally beat a team with a winning record.

Well they started off 1-7 but its in large part cause the lost 3 por bowl guys for the year (Smith, Davis, Jenkins) and 10 other guys for the year. The schedule they cant help. Now they got that shit rollin again though they'll be back to last years type team imo.

Atlanta will lose tonight...Sorry Manny....but Carolina will not go to the Super Bowl.
an atlanta loss tonight could be VERY beneficial to the packers in trying to claim a 2 seed.
