Dont get me wrong, Vick has the tools to be a good QB but until he learns to use them he puts himself in harms way. He needs to learn to be patient, he needs to learn how to read a D and most of all he needs to learn on when to pass and when to run. I think he's to quick to resort to running. But like i said a couple games wont make a career

LoL. But Holt is given the slight nod because he's got an edge in stuff like jumping, speed, etc., mostly just because he's younger. It's the flashiness I guess. I agree though that Bruce is an awesome WR, and is vastly underrated. I guess his name, Issac Bruce, just makes him sound old and all. LoL. But seriously a great WR.

yea, like i said, this was compiled fairly quickly, with only lookin at stats from 2002 and 2003. There's less talk about DBs and all that WR/RB/QB...so even though I know some of the good players...most past like Bailey and McAllister are gonna be the ones that I know less about. I had actually even forgot about McAllister for a moment until I saw his name on the stat sheets.

-All this talk about Vick is exactly why he didn't make my top 5. Excellent player, but not developed enough as a QB. Last week was a perfect example. 100+ yards rushing, but under 200 passing.
-Thomas is Fred Thomas from New Orleans. Look at his INT/PD stats from the past 2 or 3 seasons. He's pretty good. Had a bit of trouble w/some of the defense. Kind of a few brain-farts because I was trying to do it fast. -Farve would maybe be #1 on my list about 3 years ago. But he has aged a bit, and his stats aren't quite what they used to be. Part of that may be because of his recievers. He used to love having Freeman to dump the ball off to. McNair is a natural leader and almost always throws for over 250 yards. And he's never had a stellar receiving group. Culpepper is said to be at his best ever. He's reading defenses better and the fact that he (like McNabb and McNair) are also a threat to take off put them up top. Not to mention the way they make smart decisions and just simply know how to carry a team to a victory. |

Kind of a few brain-farts because I was trying to do it fast. I know I'm a little biased, but I can't believe you would include him ahead of Patrick Surtain. That is of course if you are looking at cover corners. Then again, I'm not sure Barber fit the cover corner mold either, put I would probably include him. Not only is Surtain 3 years younger than Thomas, but he has been putting up better INT numbers and similar PD numbers for the last 4 years while Thomas has done it for the past 2. Overall though, pretty good list. |
