I was a big fan of this series of kids books in the late 70s and early 80s. Remember the three main characters: Jupiter Jones, Pete Crenshaw and Bob Andrews whose motto was "We Investigate Everything"?

I was doing a web search the other day, just as a bit of a nostalgia trip and came across a bit of information that I never realised. I always assumed that because Alfred Hitchcock's name was on each novel, that he had written them, but I find that there were 5 different authors for this series of books, whose names originally never appeared on the cover as the author. Hitchcock didn't even create the characters.

Oh well, you learn something new everyday. I must admit, it was a very interesting website and brought back some memories.
