A few days ago I've decided to get this Canon's new little pocket mutant, today I've had some free time to take it on a little walk with the dog.
All of the images taken in the "Auto" mode with no modifications done, save for most of them being downsized to 1600x1200 with a JPEG quality of 95% (to fit Imageshack's 1.5MB restriction). Was it worth the 255 euro (with a 4-year warranty)? Opinions are welcome ![]() I'll save you all the "I'm a n00b photographer" crap, even though it's true lol ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() P.S - the panoramic mode ("Stitch-Assist"), with the obvious disadvantage of the same exposure for all its' parts: ![]() Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting |

Very nice pictures... this coming from a novice, though. I love the pic of your dog looking at the NO pooping sign - Great shot.
I myself just picked up a Nikon D40 and am having a blast with it. Though I find photography to be more challenging than any other hobby I have done. Seems to me the camera was worth the cash. Nice pics. -Matt |

Wow! Great shots! The camera excels in daylight, that's for sure. How about night shots? ![]() It's just as good (crappy) as you'd expect from a pocket camera in this price range: Tungsten lamp light (hand-held, Auto): ![]() ![]() No light (hand-held, Auto): ![]() Edit: Street light (hand-held, Auto): ![]() |

its a very nice camera but i went with the olympus sp550 instead of this they were pretty much same price. canon has slightly better image quality and performance but the lens on oly was realy great and accessories for oly was cheaper .. like remote shutter, conversion lenses, adapters and filters etc..
