Default So Mr. Falcon stopped by....
EDIT: Added another photo, page 2.

Landed at my window sill.
There are plenty of falcons flying around my neighborhood, and a bunch of them seem to be nesting just a few feet away from my living room's large window, 8th floor.

I have some more shots waiting to be PP'd but I'll have to do this later on, as well as posting them!

Here's my guest:

Wow!! thats an amazing shot!

I've been trying to take a picture of a buzzard that lives near my dad's, but its rare that I'm at my dad's when the buzzard is around, but on monday (19th), I saw him perched on top of a telegraph pole at the bottom of my dad's drive.

The picture is not even close to your amazing shot, but I was pleased nonetheless.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...uk/buzzard.jpg

He only sat their for about 10 seconds, so I had to stop the car, grab my camera outta its case, turn it on, open the door, step out and then take a very hurried shot.

It came out better than I expected.

Not bad for a £140 camera, the Fuji 6500fd, settings were...... (most I've no idea what they mean).......

F-stop -- f/4.9
exposure time -- 1/100 sec
ISO -- 100
focal length -- 67mm

All I know is I had to zoom to max to get a good enough close up, the max being 10.7 zoom and there is a small button that magnifies it again by twice, its probably a digital zoom.

I won't even ask what the OP is using cos it probably cos 10 times what my camera did. [rofl]

The shots are 10 times better too.

That second shot is great too, the three of them look really expectant, like your the mum with a mouth full of food for them!

Do tell us what the camera is your using though, cos the shots are absolutely stunning compared to anything my camera can dish out, its probably something I'd aspire to have, but probably never get the chance to own.

Its in the image Exif, Canon 400D. With the current cash back promotion, you can get the body for £300, certainly worth every penny [thumbup]

lol.... I should have realised that, as thats where my settings came from, once again this is what happens when you do a 14 hour night shift, get home drained beyond belief then go on FM and not go straight to bed.

thanks for the compliments guys,
yes, it was a 400D paired with a 70-300mm Tamron lens, shot @ 300mm.

SnW- thanks, a 1440*900 version comin right at ya.

Snoopy, I think you can find a nice deal if you look for it...
But remember that once you get it, the Lens Thirst gets addictive.

1440*900 is here!
http://www.uploading.com/files/DLL1Q...paper.rar.html
For your convenience, I've made 4 variations.

Now I think I used an incorrect resizing filter, i'll try to improve it just a bit soon.
