Default Tripod problem!
I often shoot from a tripod. I have a problem when I want to shoot with the camera (350D) in a vertical position.

The weight of the lens twists the camera on the screw in the mount for the tripod. The mount actually has a little retractable post that seems like it should insert into the bottom of the camera to prevent twisting, but the camera has no hole for it to fit into.

What do I need to solve this problem?

Get a tripod ring for your lens so that the centre of gravity is more central (assuming you can fit one round your lens), meaning that the camera will not pivot round.

Alternatively, tighten the locking screw on the baseplate REALLY tight - but I don't recommend that unless you are careful .
