Default Learning to play guitar.
I'm looking for a website that I can learn the basics of guitar playing.
Nothing fancy, just the very basics, as I've just brought my first guitar & I am starting from scratch.

Along with that, a piece of advice - don't practice just once, twice, or three times a week. Get the thing in your hands, if only for a half-hour at a time, every single day if you can.

Yeah, FrekldThunder is right. You should make time to have that guitar in your hands as long as you can - every single day. It's surprising how much of a difference just 1/2 hr a day makes in comparison to missing a few days here and there.

Good luck - be patient. I started out learning with a pretty cheap acoustic guitar then, one day, I had a play with a friend's bass guitar. I loved it and decided to concentrate more on bass - I just love the sound

It’s always good to have some prior knowledge other then just going on the net and imagine you being spoon-fed. I have just been over with my teaching lessons from a teacher and due to my busy schedule I had missed some classes which I could not get back. Then I decided to learn guitar online. That is Hotstrings.HotStrings—the source for the easy way to learn guitar. Download the free viewer and courses directly to your PC. Learn the chords, licks and shredding techniques of seasoned professionals. Master easy daily exercises with real songs and a real band.

WoW at bot-post

To the OP playing everyday is important, the first few months youll learn so many things and make a huge progress if you stick with it. Its also important to make sure you have the right technique down before you start practicing it over and over again, if something doesn't feel right (hurts) stop and post here or any other guitar/music forum for help, just to prevent you from practicing the wrong position or motion which may lead to injury.

Good luck
