![]() 10 MiG-29KUb arrestor landings have been approved for INS Vikramaditya by Indian Navy, as per India Defence Update. It means the aircraft carrier generated full steam; the steam turbines worked well; and electronics and hydraulics that support the air cylinders that are controlled for arrestor wires below decks worked safely. The cylinder room is where the wires get pulled by the 40 ton MIG-29K coming in at three fourths power at 200 knots. Only Russia, US and France have the capacity to build the arrestor technology Sea Harrier veteran Captain Janak Bevli is at Severodvinsk as Captain (Air) over seeing the landings. |
