The Indian Army is all set to make its forst model modern military station at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. The station will offer reduced response time to emergencies. The station will be battle-ready capable with modern warfare and a set up for ration logistics. The station is strategic due to its proximity with Pakistan border.


Although Jodhpur Army base can respond to a situation across the border, but Jaisalmer will enable expediting heavy military movement. Jodhpur is approx 300 km from border and Jaisalmer can save at least 6-7 hours for the troops.
