24 officers and commandos from the Delhi Police Special Cell, Anti-Terrorism Squads (ATS) of various states and the NSG will be sent to US training with CIA and FBI. They are being sent to a training facility in Mayock, North Carolina -believed to be a secret CIA training unit. The course includes a five-week 'Crisis Response Team Course'from October 22 to November 23. Night-time training exercises and high-risk counter terror raids will be part of it.

US says that the course will be very "physically demanding" as 85 per cent of the training will be done through drills and field lessons. Rest will be in classes. The commandos will be trained for close quarter combat.
