Default IAF Sukhoi-30 MKI jets have a fly-by- wire design flaw: Air chief NAK Browne
Air chief NAK Browne, the Chief of the Indian Air Force has has that the Fly By Wire of SU-30 MKI multirole combat aircrafts have a design flaw. He said that there is nothing wrong with the airworthiness of the jets. He said that the design issue has been taken up with the designing agency. He was speaking to the press during a function held to mark Golden Jubilee celebrations of Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC).
On December 13, 2011, a Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter aircraft crashed at Wade Bholai village soon after it took off from Lohegaon air base. Two pilots of the fighter plane managed to bail out safely. The Air Chief said that more checks were being implemented to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.

On purchase of French Rafale Aircraft, he said that the negotiations are expected to conclude by year end.
