Assam Rifles has detained two Myanmarese Army soldiers who crossed the border and entered Mizoram. Assam Rifles personnel patrol the 404-km long Mizoram- Myanmar international border.


The Myanmarese soldiers entered into Zilhriphai near Ngur village in Mizoram's Champhai district yesterday with arms. They are said to have intimidated a farmer from whom they asked for one lakh Kyat (Myanmarese currency).


The Myanmarese soldiers were carrying one AK-47 assault rifle with a magazine and a mobile phone, as per PTI.
