Russia's ships to take part in RIMPAC exercise: Voice of Russia
hree ships of Russia’s Pacific Fleet have entered the area of Hawaii for RIMPAC, the Rim of the Pacific Exercise, which is the world's largest international maritime war exercise.

The squadron is headed by The Admiral Panteleyev anti-submarine ship, which earlier took part in an anti-pirate mission off the coast of Somalia.

RIMPAC exercise is held biennially in June and July of even-numbered years in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The goal is to practice interaction between the fleets of the countries of the Asian Pacific region.

This year 45 ships from 23 countries are taking part in the exercise.
