Default President of India
It is quite unfortunate that Kalam has no chance of leading the country. Will God punish the vested interests?

Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, in a statement here early Tuesday, not only announced his party's support to Mukherjee, but also exhorted all political parties to help elect him unanimously, hours after the finance minister called Thackeray and sought his support.

NDA, Mamata jolted as Kalam keeps off poll
New Delhi, June 18, 2012, DHNS:
BJP may back Sangma for President; TMC may abstain
Former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Monday opted out of the presidential election after studying the "totality" of the situation, dealing a blow to the BJP and Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee who badly wanted him to take on Pranab Mukherjee.

The BJP has an uphill task to convince its NDA partners to accept Sangma’s candidature. Sangma has been propped up by Biju Janata Dal leader and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik and his Tamil Nadu counterpart J Jayalalitha.

No.4 Mr Iyyarooran, I wish to change yr posting: two 'sisters'in-law also support the bengali Moshai. You see Menaka gets no strong support from BJP; so, she may be trying to come to close to Congress. Mamta played her cards very badly depending on Mulla Yadav. Navin Patnaik and jayalalitha proposed Sagma without consulting anyone. Congress' adriot management helped them. now, there is no other way. le us accept Pranabda as President visualizing him with folded hands shacking forcefully here and there. Earlier Panab used to go to Manmohan Singh for consultation;now, PM will have to go to President. both PM and President will go to Roman madam

Oh well. It is nothing about the Prez election. The significance is they are coming together. BJP is suffering from all accounts. Because of poor leadership and dedication to serve the country. Most of the constituents are on the edge of their toes to jump off the spring board. Many have not scored not even Perfect 1.

At last a person from West Bengal has got the opportunity to become the President of India. After working in the Congress Party for so many years, Pranab Mukherjee has come very near to achieve his life time ambition for the next 5 years.
It would have been more interesting if he had been elected unopposed to the coveted post.

BJP played their card very badly. Now, keeping 2014 general election, they are trying to rope Navin Patnaik, Jayalalitha, possibly Mumta. Bihar's Nitesh is playing a muslim card. I thought he is an intelligent and honest but he also falls on trap. Congress calls Mulayam as BJP agent. well, it looks some new alliance is taking place. it is thamasha politicians are playing with Nation. yes I fully Bengal never had its son or daughter as PM or President; on that account, Pranabda deserves. If Reuters' assessment is correct , well I vote for him
