As for my posts and blogs, I have given up all my other hobbies like singing, playing veena, watching cartoons, animation movies and am spending EVERY minute of my free time in reading/ writing / typing/

I am also a workaholic to say the least.
This is what makes our family circle worried. I have got another friend who forgets everyone in real circle of relatives and

friends, after joining the FACE BOOK. Here is the write up about her in my other thread.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The present tread of this forum is to copy past the earlier writings, in other threads!!

The goodness or the evil in the people is

LESS than what is being projected.

Goodness begets goodness.

Naughtiness begets Naughtiness.

Life is a perfectly polished MIRROR.

I have NOT given up my hobbies in order to write in the website.

It is the other way round.

Dancing is out of question - when I can't even walk confidently.

Playing veena requires the ability to sit on the floor or at least on a divan.

The first option has been ruled out long since.

The second one taxes the unsupported back.

Singing requires holding the breath or the song will be in bits and pieces without any continuity.

Also the sruthi keeps decreasing. So the time of singing has reduced slowly and steadily.

What else can I do to keep myself busy and active mentally.

We have to change with the changing abilities of the body.

Loneliness can lead to depression. Every one knows this.

An idle mind is a devil's workshop.

So to keep out the devil from its workshop and not to feel depressed,

I have to mingle with people real or virtual.

Nobody need worry about me in the family circle.

I feel more useful now than ever before - despite my limited physical abilities.

This is what makes our family circle worried. I have got another friend who forgets everyone in real circle of relatives and

friends, after joining the FACE BOOK. Here is the write up about her in my other thread.

Once Mr.Jawaharlal Nehru,Prime minister of India asked his Secretary Mr.H.V.R.Iyengar I.C.S. as to how many hours Mr.Iyengar was sleeping
and when Mr.Iyengar told him from 10Pm to 6 am,Mr.Nehru informed that, he as the Prime minister of India cannot have luxury of 8 hours sleep daily.
Mr.Nehru was sleeping only for 4 or5 hours daily. He was doing Yoga(Sirasasana)on a regular basis.

A word of caution to all the married ladies...
Never ever settle in peace with the imagination that the days of struggle with your dear mother in law are over.
There are one hundred people waiting to assume the role- of your age, your elders, your youngsters
(brace yourselves for the words that are going to follow) both male and female!
BEWARE.

"It is a challenge to prove that we too can talk amicably in a mature manner -
without bashing
anyone."

This was my lofty aim in starting this new thread.
I thought people may like to patch up their differences.

It was supposed to be a patching ground for the
people pitched against one another elsewhere.

But now it is becoming a thread for
personal assaults and teasing "Yours faithfully"!

I gave 24 hours' time for people to enter the thread
with any useful information.

But people seem to be determined
to reduce this to a zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz thread.

So it will be made from made from a
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz thread into a real
sizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzling thread very soon!

# 1. ADAM.

Adam had the good fortune that what ever he said and did very REALLY original.

No one could tell him that he copied anyone else.

He is also the first man who listened to his wife and NOT

to his reason - setting a trend that is being austerely

followed even today.

So he was a real trend setter.

Now read the story of Sukanya (Courtesy Wilkipedia)

and answer the question at the end of the post.

In Hindu mythology, (
Sanskrit: सुकन्*या) was the daughter of Shryayati, son of Vaivasvata Manu and the wife of the great sage Chyavana.[1]

The sage had spent so long in meditation that he was covered by a
termite nest. The beautiful girl Sukanya came upon the nest and saw two shining objects inside. Not realizing these were the eyes of the sage, she poked playfully at them, and the sage was blinded.

Chyavana was enraged, and Sukanya's father placated him by offering her in marriage. After their marriage Sukanya served the sage cheerfully, despite his old age and blindness.

One day she was spotted by the
Ashwini Kumaras, identical twins who served as physicians of the gods, who decided that her ethereal beauty was worthy of residence in heaven rather than languishing on the Earth serving an old blind sage. They asked her to marry one of them. Being a faithful wife, she vehemently objected to their request. Pleased with her devotion to her husband, the Ashwini Kumaras offered to restore her husband's youth and eyesight. The bargain was conditional on Sukanya's ability to distinguish her husband from the twins themselves. If she failed to do so they would return him to old age and blindness. All parties accepted these terms. The Ashwini Kumaras asked Chyavana to accompany them into the nearby pond. Being demigods, the Ashwini Kumas left no footprints on the bank as they exited the pond. Although the rejuvenated sage looked identical to the twins, he left footprints. The Ashwini Kumaras blessed the couple and left. In return they also requested that the sage give them a share of the sacrificial offerings in the future. This results in a conflict with the king of god, Indra.

#1. Riddle for today.

If Eve were asked to identify Adam from three or even

thirteen men similarly clad in leaves, could Eve spot

Adam from the rest of the look-alikes?

Dear Mr. Sangom,
If you do not read my posts then both of us are losers.
I miss a learned reader and you miss good posts -
those which appear in literature section especially.
Thanks for the prompt response.
with warm regards,

Dear Mr. Sangom,

I have problem with small thin letters and my silly mistakes do not show up in them.

What to do?

I have selected colors pleasant or cool to reduce the intensity of the bold letters.

May be I can type in a big font and reduce it before posting!

How about this post? Is it OK or is it better?

Hoping that the loyal husbands will not go to the wrong wives!

Imagine if both the husbands and their wives are identical twins

and live in the same house.

May be then we don't have to worry about the confusion and mix

ups!

May be in a joint family it happens. It appears that such instances have
appeared in Tamil Movies. But I am told that such twins have their own
identification in their movements and sometimes with their behavioral
patterns etc. to avoid mix up and embarrassment amongst themselves.
We have twins in our family and we have not heard any such problems so far.
