There's some discussion going on in the MISC section on the recent SC observation to a "Kushbu case".
While there are for and against views taken for the subject itself, there're also questions around whether SC has upheld the "culture" of the land. (It's interesting to see that the news reports quote the judges refering to Radha-Krishna relationship, which should negate the supposedly conservative culture prevailing in the land during prior millenniums) So, question - are principles / rules / laws surrounding intimate physical relations part of a "culture"? If so, what are the "original" standards of Indian culture on this? Are these deteriorating in society today? |
