We all have our faviourite MDs and mejority of us are either MSV's fan, or IR's or ARR's fan. We dont have good openion about a lot of other MDs who also sometimes managed to produce a few great gems.

TFM had/have a few third rated music directors (of course, openions differ!) who have surprised us with a few great songs. For example, TR produced great songs like 1. moongililae paattisaithu, 2. idhu kuzhandhai paadum thalaattu (what a song!) etc..

Similary shankar-ganesh, shyam, veda, vijayabaskar, V.Kumar, T.R.Paappa, Sirpy etc etc..
MDs like ramesh vinayagam, manisharma, deena will all soon fall under this category (maybe they are already in that category)

Shall we list their best?

Damn! I still can't come up with one great songs from SA Rajkumar.

Let's not list 'good' song, bcos there could be many. Only 'great', something of IR, MSV and ARR's calibre.

Pl don't ask me to define 'great'. I guess you know what I mean!

Devendiran's music in Vedham Puthithu.I think the songs are class in that movie.Amsalekha's KodiParakuthu,Captain Magal are the best pieces.Even natukku oru nallavan had some good songs from him.S.P.Venkatesh from kerala produced an international standard music in the movie Airport(Starring SatyaRaj and Directed by Shaji Kailash).Even that movie doen't have songs you could probably listen to the world class BGM from the movie.Ranith Parod's VIP is another great piece to be mentioned.
Late Mahesh's Kuruthipunaal,Nammavar are classy ones.Again Kuruthi with no songs is worth to mention here for its rerecording.Adithyan, have given Amaran and SevelapariPandi which were unique albums stands out.I don't want to list Balabarathy as a third rated music director,anyway his Thalaivasal and Amaravathi are far better than any other copy cat MD's hyped ones.He is underrated.

'Senthoora Poove neeyum thaen kondu va va' ...is by Manoj Gyan and not by SAR. Manoj Gyan has offered some good music in Abaavaanan movies like "Oomai Vizhigal", Inaintha Kaigal. I still wonder why he did not proceed further.

Senthoora Poove Neeyum Thean song is from Senthoora Poove movie. Music composed by Manoj-Gyan. They have composed music for almost all the Aabavaanan movies. His songs/movies include

Yes, shiva is good. "Yen pen endru piranthai" is too good melody. "Enna azaghu ethanai azhagu" is a hit number already.

Balabharathy's songs "Taj mahal thevaillai", "Nee pesum poova povanam" are some of good melodies.

TR's classical number "Oru ponmanai naan pada" is a great number.

I like SAR's all the songs from "Pudhu vasantham".
