The same reasons were given when raising the judges salary to millions of dollars.
The Chief Justice of the USA Supreme Court earns only $223,500 per YEAR and in Canada the Chief Justice earns $278,400 per YEAR. Mind you these are the top judges out of the thousands of judges in USA and Canada.
A Singapore judge earns that amount in one month.
