We, Singaporean, have been working hard from day till night, sacrificed all our hours to work & family, but find it hard to beat the inflation. Still, we are losing our jobs to cheaper foreigner. So we should allow this hardship to continue, and help the minority rich get richer every day?

no government can turn dumb workers into inventive and innovative leaders who dominate the global economy. thanks to apple, google and many innovative start-ups in silicon valley, samsung and htc are able to leverage appware, available source codes, original chip designs and other tech, most notably screen and touch software to copy first, then "create" their own products.

i'm very familiar with korean gov agencies' efforts to assist their chaebols' competitiveness and success on the world market. i'm on their mailing list and know all their reps in the silicon valley office. they don't have much talent in the gov agencies, and these sk gov reps add no value at all except to conduct high tech espionage. all their best talents work for the leading chaebols: samsung, lg, hyundai, etc.

the companies or chaebols provide the foundation for their own success. for example, samsung and lg are investing heavily in silicon valley and plans to hire and poach talent from other companies in the valley. they are using the valley as their main innovation engine and relying on workers in sk for value add around the core development, which is majority silicon valley based.
