Singaporeans' rejection of PAP's pork barrel, gutter politics at GE 2011, and B-E Hougang 2012 has the PAP a big slap and taught them a lesson in fairness and not to take Singaporeans for granted.

Will we see more lessons for the PAP in the next GE?

It has never been a level playing field for the opposition ever since PAP took a firm grip on political power. This is just one fine example. If Png had lost the by-election, he'll never be able to get anywhere close to DC, let alone work with him in Hougang. PAP through their PA and grassroots porlumpars will see to that! Only in Sinkapore, we can allow a situation where the loser by virtue of being the so-called grassroots adviser can still strut around; pretending and behaving like a pseudo-MP. lol!

He must live to his promise of "We are always here for you" whether loser or winner. He has no option otherwise PAP slogan will backfire on them everywhere not just in Hougang.

The LUP is a cash cow for some linked construction contractor. The lift are not cheap, the projected cost of building the lift look inflated. I dunno what brand they will be using but a fujitec lift from penang cost abt USD 70k-150k according to spec, and inclusive of installation. since so many lifts needed, confirm can get bulk discount. So that would mean the bloody lift shaft will cost $300k-$500k to erect? i no construction guy, hope some bro with knowledge can share...
